How to merge hard drive partitions?
Many people know that the hard drive can be divided into sections. Some users believe that the hard drive needs to be partitioned, while others believe the opposite. We won’t tell you why all this is needed, but let’s talk about another issue. Since our website has already discussed the issue of partitioning a hard drive, it would be logical to consider the following question: how to combine hard drive partitions?
This issue can be resolved using standard Windows operating system tools or third-party programs. We will use standard Windows OS tools.
All you need is to go to your disk management menu and delete the desired partition there. The easiest way to do this is with a special command.
First of all, you need to go to the menu "Start"and here click on the dialog box"Run". This window can also be opened using hotkey combinations Win+R. You need to write the command in it diskmgmt.msc. To complete this action, click on the "OK".
After you complete the steps above, you will be taken to the menu "Disk management". It will look something like this.
In order to delete a disk partition, you need to do a couple of steps. Right-click directly on the desired section. After that, select the item "Udalite roof".
It is worth noting that by deleting a partition, you will also delete all the information that was stored on it. After clicking on "Udalite roof" a message will appear warning you about the loss of information. Therefore, save the information in advance from the partition being deleted.
After deleting a partition, you will need to add its memory to one main partition. In other words, you will need to select the main partition, then right-click on it and select "Rasshirit roof". It looks like this.
Now all you have to do is confirm your actions by clicking on the “Next” button. After these steps, the hard drive partitions will be combined.
You can also merge hard drive partitions using special programs. But still, this operation is performed faster using standard Windows tools.
