Screen OCR is a useful utility that extracts and converts text that cannot be copied to the clipboard in the normal way, be it an image or a pop-up window in Windows.
In most cases, copying text is a very simple task. However, some websites prohibit this feature and bypassing this restriction is quite problematic. You can use online text recognition services, but they are not very convenient. Therefore, it is better to use Screen OCR.
This program was published on Softonic on April 4, 2018, and we haven't had a chance to try it out yet.
The program analyzes images for text content and makes them suitable for copying. Use the built-in screenshot feature to capture the area you want and let the tool process the image by clicking on OCR. The text then appears in a separate tab and can be copied to the clipboard as usual.
In the settings, you can specify an individual key combination for capturing screenshots and, if desired, where to store images in PNG, BMP, JPG, GIF or PDF formats. The program recognizes more than 100 languages, including German, English, Russian, French, Spanish and Arabic. The trial version of the Easy Screen OCR program allows you to analyze a total of 20 images, this does not threaten you, you have a complete edition with activation, everything you need for this is in the archive, we use it and enjoy it.

The application has a simple and intuitive interface, where all main functions are available through one button - "Grab Text". By clicking on this button, the user can highlight any text on the screen, be it an image or a web page. Screen OCR runs silently in the system tray and can be launched along with the operating system. For convenience, it is also possible to use hot keys, for example, Ctrl + Shift + A, or configure any other combination at the user’s request.
