How to post photos on Instagram via computer

Many people will think that the simplest solution is to connect the smartphone to the computer and load the desired photo into its internal memory. But this task is extremely commonplace and will not be discussed in the current article. Here we will consider a more interesting method when you don’t have a smartphone at all, but Instagram can be used thanks to BlueStacks utility, which is installed on the most ordinary computer.

So, first, download and install BlueStacks. Installation does not take very much time and does not require any supernatural actions from the user. After installation, you will need to go to Google Play and download the Instagram application. The procedure for downloading and installing the application is no different from that implemented in a smartphone.

Next, you should perform actions in the following order:

Go to the folder C:\ProgramData\Bluestacks\UserData\SharedFolder, into which you need to copy the photos that will later be posted on the social network. If MacOS is installed on your computer, the folder will be located at a different address, but most often, the owner of a Mac also has an iPhone. It's also worth remembering that the folder in which you want to place photos is hidden by default, so you should allow hidden folders to be shown.

Now you should launch the BlueStacks program. After launch, you should go to Google Play and download from there ES Explorer. In general, you can use any file manager, but this one is the fastest and most convenient.

We launch this program and find the bstFolder folder in it, inside of which there is another folder - BstSharedFolder. If you can’t find them, you can use the search.

In this folder you can find all the files that were previously downloaded here from Windows. Select them and copy them to a more convenient location where they can be found faster.

To do this, go to “Local Storage” and copy the files to any convenient folder. All operations are carried out using the “copy” and “paste” buttons:

After that all that remains is to go to Instagram app, go to the gallery and upload the necessary photos to the network.

As you can see, the procedure is quite simple and quick. So, you don’t always need to connect your phone to your computer via cable.
