Clearing your computer's cache using CCleaner
Every time you listen to music on the Internet or watch a video, temporary files are created on your computer, which by themselves do not go anywhere. Over time, there are so many of them that the system begins to slow down, and the space on the “C” drive becomes significantly less. CCleaner can rid your computer of temporary files and fix various errors in the system registry. Clear the cache on your computer using CCleaner:
1. First you need to download CCleaner from the official website and install it on your computer.
2. A program shortcut will appear on the desktop. Double click on it to launch CCleaner.
3. The “Cleaning” tab will immediately open in the program window. Available here clearing Windows and application caches. Visually, this is represented by tabs with the corresponding names “Windows” and “Applications”.
4. We carefully study all the items for deleting temporary files in two tabs. As you can see, some checkboxes are already checked in the list, while others are inactive, but this does not mean that they cannot be deleted.
5. In the “Applications” tab, pay attention to inactive lists. For example, “Autofill forms” and “Saved passwords” are not automatically selected for deletion, because users create them for long-term use. But, if you need to delete it, you should check the boxes and all this data will be deleted.
6. You can also notice that all the lines Google Chrome are inactive and there are reasons for this - the program is open, which means the user has not ended the session and temporary files should be safe.
7. Once everything is selected and ready to be deleted, you must click the “Analyze” button to make a preliminary assessment of the data to be deleted. This function is quite useful for beginners, because before deleting it allows you to once again make sure that nothing unnecessary will be deleted.
8. The analysis process will be visible at the top of the program window.
9. After the scanning process is completed, the CCleaner window will display a list of all data to be deleted and information about its size.
10. If everything needs to be deleted, click the “Cleanup” button. A window will appear warning the user about deleting the data. To continue, click “Ok”. If you no longer want to see this notification, check the box next to “Don’t show this message again.”
11. The deletion process will take a little longer than analyzing it, but the resulting list will be no different from the list during analysis. CCleaner also contains other useful tools for cleaning up your computer, so it's worth taking a closer look at how the program works.
