When you start the program, two windows open next to each other. The program is specially designed so that you can compare two options: before and after editing. VirtualDub - not intended for professional installation. It is more suitable for the average user who just needs to trim the video, glue together disparate parts, and adjust the balance of brightness and color. All these functions are available in the main menu.
Let's look at an example of cutting out an unnecessary part of a video. If your video contains advertising, then naturally you need to get rid of it. Here's how easy it is to do it:
1. Find the required file and open it.
2. We are looking for the frame where the advertisement begins. The easiest way to do this is using the slider under the video.
3.Searching for a specific frame is not difficult. If the area where the advertisement is running has been marked, you can use the buttons shown in the figure to determine a specific frame.
4.Now, when the moment is stopped, you need to press “Nome” on the keyboard or the corresponding button on the screen, as shown in the figure:
5.On the last frame you need to mark the moment with the “End” button. Now the fragment is selected and can be deleted by pressing Delete on the keyboard.
6. Don’t forget to save.
There are quite a lot of commands in the main menu. For the first time, it may even seem unnecessary. But if you have a Russified version, then of course it will be easier for you to understand. Either way, there are plenty of video tutorials for every element of editing required. You can view the result at any time and compare it with the original. If you don’t like something, you simply don’t need to save it.
By the way, when saving, you can change the number of frames, compress the video or remove the audio track. In the Filters menu you will find many options for changing the video. But it’s better to get acquainted with them visually, by applying each one and seeing the effect achieved. VirtualDub will help both beginners and experienced users who have some skills in using such video editors.
