The window in which all UltraIso work is carried out is divided into four parts. The upper left part includes image/disk information (a list of folders in a tree form), the upper right part includes a list of files that are located in the folder. The directory of CD/DVD and HDD devices of the PC is located in the lower left part, the lower right part shows detailed information about the files located in the folders.
Burning a disc
Burning a disc in this utility is as easy as in the well-known Nero program. The user only needs to upload the necessary files into the project, and then click the write button. But, nevertheless, you must first create an image from a folder located on the PC. In order to do this, you need to transfer the files to be written to the upper right window of the program, then click on the “file” button - “save as...”. In the future, the image should be transferred to the disk “Tools - burn CD image”, selecting the desired recording speed and other parameters.
Creating an image from a CD/DVD disc
To create an image in UltraIso, you need to select “Create CD image” located in the “Tools” tab. After this, in the new window that appears, you will need to select the drive in which the disk of the future image is located. Then the path to the folder to save the resulting image is assigned. In addition, the user has the opportunity to select the output format he needs - CloneCD, standard .iso, Alcohol and others. UltraISO helps the user to make any CD or DVD image supported by any known applications that work with disk images.
Burning a CD/DVD image using UltraISO
This function is carried out through the “Tools” tab and selecting the “Burn CD image” item in it. Then you should select the path to the folder in which the file you want to record is located. You can set additional settings – method (DAO or TAO). Setting the TAO (Track At Once) method means that only one track will be recorded at a time. Burning an entire disc requires selecting the DAO (Disk At Once) recording method. You should also take into account the fact that recording images of multiboot disks should be performed at low speeds.
How to install bootable flash in UltraISO
To create a bootable USB flash drive, you need to have a disk image in .iso format and any flash memory (USB flash drive). Connect the flash drive to the USB port, run the UltraISO utility, and then open the desired image (“file” - “open”). Then you should go to the “Boot” menu and select “Burn hard disk image” there. In the drop-down list that appears, select the flash drive on which you want to burn the disk image. During this procedure, the information stored on the flash drive will be erased. It is recommended to use the default recording method in the utility “USB-HDD+”. A feature that distinguishes UltraISO in creating a bootable flash drive is the ability to create the required number of MBR records on one medium, in other words, if desired and with the support of a flash drive, record several Linux or Windows boot records simultaneously.
