How to restart a laptop
The laptop restarts in standard mode using the operating system launch pad. It is enough to execute the commands in the sequence: “start” - “shutdown” - “reboot”. To do this, press the Windows logo key, then press the right arrow twice and select “restart” in the pop-up monitor window that appears.
But when the computer freezes, for example, when you are working in Google Chrome, this method is powerless. More radical methods are needed. Let's look at them. I will write about each one, starting with the simplest. Sometimes the following steps help in these cases. Click hotkey combination "WIN" and "R". In the window that appears, enter cmd, then press “Enter” and select the command “shutdown-r-t 0", which means an immediate reboot. But if you freeze, this method may not help.
Then there is another, more effective way. We simultaneously press the “CTRL”, “ALT” and “DEL” keys. A window should appear task manager, in which you should select the previous commands that lead to a reboot. But you can do it easier. Click “Start Task Manager” and in “Processes” we end the frozen program. The difficulty is that you may not be able to find such tasks or you may not know which program is stuck. But since the laptop is now responding, you can try to manually close the frozen program.
If the laptop freezes, the previous manipulations are impossible and enough waiting time has passed to restore its operation, then you need to move on to even more radical measures.
Try holding down the “Power” button for several seconds. This manipulation will close all programs and forcefully turn off the laptop. To resume work, you will need to press “Power” again. However, it should be remembered that frequent use of this reboot method can lead to failure.
If this method turns out to be ineffective, then a complete blackout will work. It is enough to turn off the laptop from the network or remove the battery from it. After waiting a few minutes, reconnect it to the network or return the battery to its place. Then, as in standard operation, press the power button and wait for it to start. This method is not a reboot, but only a restoration of the previous operation of a frozen computer. Some laptop models have another way to force shutdown: there is a small hole on the bottom into which you can insert a needle. This manipulation will allow you to turn off the laptop.
