Many problems with the system can be easily resolved in the most logical and simple way - restarting the computer. Therefore, the first thing you need to do is restart your computer, and then proceed to using the subsequent methods.

  2. After completing the software removal, you need to check the Windows registry for any files remaining in the system. To do this, press the keyboard shortcut Win + Rby calling the window "Run", and enter the following command in it:

    regedit

  3. The Windows Registry window will pop up on the screen. You should call up the search bar using the Ctrl+F key combination. In the window that opens, enter the following query and search for it:

    Apple Software Update

  4. All detected results will be displayed on the screen. If there are any, you will need to remove them all without exception.

  5. When the removal of residual files is complete, restart your computer, and then try to install iTunes again.

Method 3: Reinstall Apple Software Update

As you can already understand, the Apple Software Update application is the most common cause of the problem. With this step, we suggest that you reinstall this application, which will allow it to work correctly again.

  1. To do this, open "Control Panel" and go to the section "Programs and Features".

  2. In the list of installed programs, find Apple Software Update, right-click on it and select the item "Restore".

  3. Complete the product recovery procedure. Without closing the Control Panel window, right-click Apple Software Update and select this time "Delete".

  4. When the uninstallation is complete, make a copy of the iTunes installer. We will need to unzip the made copy using any archiver program, for example, WinRAR.

  5. To do this, right-click on the copy and select a punet in the drop-down list "Extract files".

  6. Specify the folder on your computer where the unzip will be performed.

  7. Open the resulting folder with files and run the installation of the AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi file. Complete the product installation.

  8. Restart your computer, then run the original iTunes installer (you can remove the copy) and try installing the program on your computer again.
One of the above methods should definitely help you. If you have your own methods for solving this problem, share them in the comments.
