Setting up Yandex mail in Microsoft Outlook

If you have mail from other mail services, then you can make sure that letters from these services will be synchronized with Microsoft Outlook mail. For example, if you have Yandex mail, then you can receive mail using Microsoft Outlook. But before that you need to set certain settings. All you need to do is set up Microsoft Outlook email using the IMAP protocol. To get started, launch Microsoft Outlook and click on the "Next". The account settings window will open. In it, check the box "Yes " and also click on the button "Next".

The following window will appear in which you will need to select "Manually configure server settings or additional server types". It looks like this.


In the next service selection window, check "Internet email" and also click on the button "Next". In the new window you need to specify certain parameters. These are name, email address, account type, incoming mail server, outgoing mail server, user, password.

Since Yandex mail is being configured, we write all the data from it. An example of filling is shown in the screenshot below. Once you fill out all the parameters listed above, you need to click on the "Other settings".


In this window, go to the "tab"Outgoing mail server". Check the box "SMTP server requires authentication". And just below select the item "Similar to the server for incoming mail".


Now go to the "tab"Additionally". You must select in the "Use the following encrypted connection type" SSL value for IMAP and SMTP server / Also set the following parameters: IMAP server - 993 and SMTP server - 465. Well, you need to complete all the steps by clicking on the button "OK".
