Recognize any track using Tunatic
Every person is a music lover at heart and can fall in love with a track from the first listen, but how do you find out who the artist is and what kind of music it sounds? We are already familiar with the program Shazam – it has become the main assistant in the search, and now we’ll add Tunatic to our collection of useful software. How to use the program
First, you need to download the Tunatic program from the official website; a link to it can be found at the end of this article.
Next, download and run the program. To my surprise, the program is implemented in one thin purple stripe.
The first problem with working in Tunatic was the lack of sound. Since I intended to recognize music from the computer player, and not from external devices, I did not provide for connecting an audio input device to the computer.
To implement our plans, we will perform a one-time setup of the program for recognizing music from a computer.
Right-click on the program and select “Settings...”.
The “Tunatic Settings” window will appear. Here you need to click the “Configure...” button.
After which the Realtec AC97 Audio volume level setting will appear. Check the “Stereo Mix” box.
This will allow the program recognize music from computer.
Next, run the audio file on the computer to check. Immediately after this, press the “Search” button in the program.
The data search will look like this: “Identifying song. Please wait."
After 30 seconds, the search will be completed and the result can be seen in the same window.
As you can see, everything is quite simple. If you prefer the work of foreign performers and are partial to popular trends in music, then this service will suit you. Classical music or little-known compositions will be difficult to find.
