The developers have achieved a professional look for letters, brochures, technical drawings and diagrams, financial reports, and marketing presentations.

LibreOffice, like Apache OpenOffice, were previously part of the same project, namely OpenOffice.org. As a result of disagreement with Oracle's policies regarding the OO.org (OpenOffice.org) project acquired from Sun Microsystems, leading OpenOffice developers decided to create a non-profit organization, The Document Foundation, in order to continue the development of OO.org, but without the participation of Oracle . The project was called Libre Office, and became the most successful full-fledged branch (fork) of OpenOffice.org, ultimately surpassing its “progenitor” in many respects.

You can download the software package from Libre Office version 24.2.3 below

LibreOffice is developing and improving rapidly, and at this stage it is perhaps the best free suite of office applications that could compete and act as an alternative to the commercial Microsoft Office.
