Proxy server not responding in Windows 8
It happens that access to the network is only possible through a proxy server. There's nothing wrong with that. But a situation may occur when the proxy server stops responding, and because of this you will not be able to access the Internet. Let's look at this situation using the Windows 8 operating system as an example. On Windows 8 operating system A situation may arise when the browser opens Internet pages as usual, but applications and the same Store do not see the Internet. So, when you go to the Store, you will see the following message: “Your computer is not connected to the Internet. To use the Windows Store, connect to the Internet and try again.”
All this happens because the proxy server is not responding. The same problem can occur with any browser. When you try to load a page, a window will appear with the text: “Unable to connect to the proxy server.” This problem can be resolved. Moreover, it can be solved in more than one way.
As mentioned above, all this happens because the network is accessed through a proxy server. Therefore, you can do the following. Call up Windows 8 search and write in it "Properties of the browser". Go to this menu. In this menu, go to the tab "connection". And here find and click the item "Network configuration".
In the new window you will need to check the box "Automatic parameter detection". After that, press the "OK".
