Error 601 on HP laptop

Today we will look at error 601 in HP software, which is displayed at the very start of the system. What is it, how to cure it and how to avoid its occurrence in the future - we will tell you further! The "Error 601" message is directly related to the laptop battery (not to be confused with power supply). When the declared capacity of the manufacturer (in our case, HP) diverges from the existing capacity, this is the error that pops up.

It would seem that the only way to fix it is by replacing the battery. However, using the HP Support Assistant utility and its Battery and Performance submenu, you can check if this is a software glitch.

First perform reboot the operating system. Next, in the “Battery and Performance” submenu, go to the “Battery Checker” item.
