SAS.Planet - a real navigation program for PC
SAS planet combines the databases of many geographical objects, such as Yandex maps, Google maps and even General Staff archives. With its help, you can see any point on Earth, recognize a populated area, or get directions to your destination. This is not only a convenient navigator, but an excellent assistant in geography. Using the program is not difficult. We launch the software and see a welcome window in the form of a globe. We designate the area of the Earth that interests us. In this example, this is a district of the city of Kem, which is located near the White Sea:
The highlighted button points to the cartographic database. By clicking on it you will see a list of toponymic systems that offer similar services. This means that it is possible to select a resource: Google, Yandex and their version of the map of this area will be displayed.
Wait a little and you will see the map begin to change. Initially, all photographs are overview - that is, on a large scale. This is convenient if you need to find a specific object. In small detail, you will have to scroll through a larger area, and the more distant the picture, the easier it is to navigate.
Once the desired object is oriented, you can approach it. Use the slider. Each step you need to wait until the details are loaded. Do not hurry. This is what the zoom bar looks like.
Using SAS planet, you can create individual fragments and load them into the navigator in a special kmz format. When you have selected the required area of the required size, select it using the blue square on the toolbar.
Click on the opposite side to bring up a dialog box. Set the data as shown in the figure:
Start loading the area. Repeat the procedure with the next fragment, and then bring up the dialog box again and click the Glue tab. Follow the instructions:
After clicking the “Start” button, the program will put everything together and create a common file of the required format. Now you have the option to download it to your navigator or smartphone (tablet). If you don’t have the opportunity to connect your navigator in your car to the Internet, it doesn’t matter. Use the SAS Planet program and find the required section of the path. Convert it to a new format and feel free to use it on the go. Remember that maps are constantly being updated, so be sure to check them.
