Most users don't use it on a daily basis due to its ineffectiveness, and Windows has taken note: the latest Windows 11 update has made it much easier to disable Cortana. Before making major changes to your PC, it is recommended to create a system restore point so that all damage can be repaired.

Create a restore point


Instructions on how to do this:
In the search bar in the lower right corner, look for "system restore". Choose to create a restore point. Click Configure > Enable system protection > Apply > OK > New > Name the file current date. If your computer is not damaged, you won't need to access the recovery file. How to remove Cortana on Windows 10

Disable Cortana on Windows 11


In this version, Cortana software is not a required part of the operating system, as it was in previous versions. To stop Cortana from auto-launching at startup: Right-click Start > Settings > Applications > Applications> Apps and features > Scroll down to Cortana or search in the search bar > Click the three dots icon> Advanced > Scroll down to Login > Turn Off.
If you need to disable Cortana permanently: Right-click on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen> Click Task Manager> More details> Go to the Startup tab> Select Cortana> Disable.
