Windows 8 - setting screen brightness mode
Today, the latest version of this operating system is Windows 8. Generally speaking, this operating system has the same clear interface. But if you compare Windows 8 OS with its predecessor (Windows 7 OS), it differs from it in many ways. The same updated window interface can confuse inexperienced users. And sometimes setting simple and familiar parameters in this operating system can drive users into a dead end. Let's look at setting the screen brightness mode in Windows 8. If this operating system on your laptop, then adjusting the screen brightness will be very simple. On many laptops, the screen brightness can be adjusted using the "f" hotkey. These keys will have brightness adjustment icons. Most often these are the f3 and f4, f5 or f6 keys. One of the keys decreases the brightness, and the other increases it.
If you use a regular desktop computer, then adjusting the screen brightness is also quite simple. First of all, you need to go to the menu "Power supply". You can go to this menu in different ways, but in Windows 8 the easiest way to do this is through the search menu. To call this menu, click hotkey combination "Win + C". After that, in the search, write the word "power supply".
As you can see, you will instantly find what you need. After that, click on the item "Power supply", which will give you a search. You will be taken to the menu "Power supply". There are two power supply modes. In the mode you need, click on the item "Setting up the power plan".
In this menu we look for the item "Adjust brightness"Use the slider to set the brightness you need and click on the item"Save changes". Two brightness adjustment bars in the screenshot only indicate that the screenshot was taken from a laptop.
By the way, you can adjust the screen brightness in a working session through the same “Power Options” menu. At the very bottom there is a brightness scale that can be adjusted with a slider. It looks like this.
Again, if you own a laptop with Windows 8, then everything can be done even lower. In the bottom right corner of your screen, look for and tap the battery icon. In the window that opens, select "Adjusting screen brightness".
After this, you will be taken to the power supply menu, in which you need to again select the item “Setting up the power supply scheme” and do everything that is written above. As you can see, despite the fact that the Windows 8 operating system seems more complex than all its predecessors, it is just as easy to use, and in some cases even easier. Adjusting the screen brightness confirms this.
