Every day, computer users listen to music, watch programs and movies, and everyone is also accustomed to the system sounds of programs. The “audio output device not installed” error can appear not only after serious problems with the computer, but also if the wires have poor contact or are damaged.
Quite often, users who were using headphones removed the wire from the connector and forgot to connect the speakers.

Reinstalling or installing computer audio drivers
If, when checking using the above methods, the cause could not be found, then you should work on the sound drivers.
First, we find the installation disks that came with the computer and automatically reinstall the sound drivers. You can also use the popular free DriverPack Solution program.
Quite often such disks are not available, but this is not a problem.
It is worth updating via the Internet:
- Find “My Computer” and right-click on it.
- Next, click “Properties”.
- In the window that appears, select “Device Manager”.
- A tree list will appear on the left, in which all the computer devices are indicated.
- It is easy to identify devices with damaged drivers. A yellow triangle with an exclamation mark will light up near the device.
- Right-click on it and select “Update Drivers”.
- If it was not possible to update automatically, then right-click on the device and select “Properties”.
- Go to the “Driver” tab. Find the “Roll Back” button. This will install the previous working version of the driver.
System Restore
If after all the manipulations with the driver the sound still does not work, then we will use system recovery:
- Go to “Start” and click “All Programs”.
- Next, look for “Standard” and go to “Service”.
- Select a restore point. It should correspond to the date and time when the sound was active. If this method does not produce results, you must contact a competent specialist.
