Adjust screen resolution on Windows 11
What is screen resolution?
Screen resolution refers to the number of pixels displayed on a monitor screen. In other words, screen resolution determines the amount of detail and clarity of an image or text on the screen.
A higher screen resolution means there are more pixels on the screen, resulting in more detail and a clearer, sharper image.
However, higher screen resolutions can also make elements on the screen appear smaller, which can make reading and viewing difficult for some people.
Why adjust my computer screen resolution??
Higher resolution means more elements can be displayed on the screen at once, which is useful for multitasking.
In addition, higher resolution can improve the visual quality of on-screen elements such as images, videos, and graphics, making them appear clearer and more detailed.
On the other hand, a lower resolution can be beneficial for people with low vision, as elements on the screen will appear larger and easier to read.
Setting screen resolution in Windows 11
To properly configure our screen in Windows 11, right-click on the desktop and select the “Display Settings” option.
Inside the pop-up window we will find the "Scale and Appearance" section in the part indicated in the image.
Then click on the "Screen Resolution" option to see a list of resolutions shown by the program.
If we don't know which one it could be better for our computer's performance, we select the recommended one by default.
Once you select the desired resolution, click "Apply" to save the changes, it is recommended to right-click on the screen and press the "refresh" option or F5 on the keyboard to avoid errors when closing.
