Connectify is program for Wi-Fi distribution from laptop, allowing you to create your own access point in just a few steps. Connectify can run on Windows 7 and can be downloaded in Russian for free. Naturally, the device selected as the connection point must have a connection to the Internet. In this case, the type of connection is completely unimportant; it can be either a connection via a 3G modem or a regular local connection.
Connectify features include the ability to view complete statistics on the use of the created connection. In this case, you can view information about all connected devices, and the amount of received and transmitted information. The interface of this program is quite simple and intuitive, which allows it to be used even by a novice user, and a special first connection wizard will help you make all the necessary settings in a matter of minutes. It is worth noting the presence of a special function that allows you to minimize Connectify to the system panel. This not only helps to avoid overloading your desktop with unnecessary information, but also to get quick access to the program if necessary.
Despite all the positive qualities of the program, it has one minor drawback. This is the lack of support for working with older operating systems. Connectify requires a installed Windows 7 OS, or newer version.
How to use this program
Although the program is provided in English, it itself is very simple. Download the program and install it. During installation it will ask reboot the computerto install your drivers for the network card. Feel free to reboot and in the end we should have a window like this.
Here we fill in the fields:
HotSpot Name - the name of your future network (SSID)
Password - password. You can come up with it yourself, you can use a generator.
Internet to Share - the adapter through which you have Internet configured. You should not use a Wi-Fi adapter here, because... it is needed to distribute the Internet.
ShareOver - Wi-Fi adapter through which you will distribute the Internet.
Sharing Mode - network type (open, Wep, WPA-2), the latter is the most secure.
And press Start HotSpot. Ready. Now you have created a Wi-Fi access point and can connect other devices to it.
Among the features of Connectify it is worth highlighting:

• Availability of a first connection wizard, which greatly simplifies the process of setting up the program.
