Secure boot: disabling the function in different laptops

UEFI is not part of the operating system and, like BIOS, is a built-in set of firmware that allows the operating system to run. The main reason for disabling one of the UEFI functions is the inability to boot the operating system from external media, such as a flash drive or disk.

Go to UEFI. To do this, restart your computer and while it starts, click the button From or F2 on the keyboard until the UEFI GUI appears on the screen.

Next, depending on what kind of laptop you have, do the following:

ASUS:

1. Click the Boat - Secure Boot.
   
2. Click on Type.
   
3. Click Other OS.
   
4. Apply the changes and restart your laptop.
   

HP:

1. Click the Boot Options.
   
2. Near the point Secure Boot set value Disabled.
   
3. Apply the changes and restart your laptop.
   

Dell:

1. Open the section Boat on the top panel.
   
2. Set value Disabled near Secure Boot.
   

Using other laptops
If you use some other laptop that was not mentioned in the article, then do not panic, because, as you can see, similar algorithms for disabling Secure boot in UEFI are used everywhere. Therefore, having studied a little about the UEFI structure on your laptop, you can just as easily disable Secure boot.
