How to make a booklet on your computer using Microsoft Word
Today there are many different ways to convey advertising information to the target audience, and one of the most popular types is the distribution of booklets. Having Microsoft Word on your computer, you will have the opportunity to create your own version of the booklet yourself.
As a rule, a booklet is a small advertising block placed on a single sheet, double-laminated or accordion-laminated. The booklet can contain any information that may be useful to the reader: advertising, useful tips, news and any other data.
How to Create a Booklet in Microsoft Word
- Launch a text editor and create a new document (or open an existing one, which will later be converted into a booklet). Please note that even if you already have the text for the booklet prepared, it is still recommended to create a blank sheet of paper that will be converted into a booklet, after which all the necessary information will be inserted onto it.
- If you are a user of Microsoft Word version 2007-2010, go to the tab at the top of the window "Page layout". For more recent versions of this program, select the tab "Layout".
- Open the section "Orientation" and select the item "Landscape".
- On the left side of the window, expand the section "Fields" and select the item "Custom Fields".
- In the window that opens, for each of the fields, set the value to 1 cm, and just below make sure that you have the landscape orientation set. Save your changes.
- In the same block "Page layout" select block "Columns" and set the desired number of columns for your booklet, for example two or three (depending on the number of folds).
- The information placed on the booklet will be distributed over several columns, but after printing the booklet you will need to fold it carefully and evenly, and this is much more convenient if you have vertical lines between the columns. To do this in the same block "Columns" click "Other Columns".
- A window will appear on the screen in which you will need to check the box next to "Delimiter". Save your changes.
Actually, everything is ready for you to place the information on your booklet, after which the finished booklet can be sent to print. We hope this information was useful to you.
