Setting up WiFi on the DIR-300 router

Настройка WiFi на роутере DIR-300

To date, there is large selection of Wi-Fi routers. All of them are configured approximately the same, but depending on the series, they have some minor differences. Today we will talk about the D-Link dir-300 model. The first step is to check the connection to the computer. If it is installed and the corresponding indicator is blinking, then you need to proceed to the device setup point. Let's take a closer look at the sequence of stages:

1. Open any browser. It is preferable to opt for Internet Explorer. In the line where the website addresses are usually displayed, enter the numbers 192.168.0.1.

2. An access verification window opens. Write admin in the name, leave the password blank. Login.
3. The standard one opens Wi-Fi routers settings page.

4. Next, you need to check and set the settings on two points.

5. The first one is a PPPoE connection. In order to get to the desired window, find Setup. It has a sub-item Internet Setup. In it we look for Manual Internet Connection Setup. Next, you need to enter the data exactly as shown in the figure:

The login and password are taken from the agreement with the provider. DNS Addresses will also be specified by the installer.

6. The second step is setting up Wi-Fi protection. Select Setup again, now – Wireless Setup, and here – Manual Wireless Connection Setup. In the window that opens, repeat everything exactly as shown in the following figure:

And the last step is to find the small network status icon on the control panel on the right, click on it, find the Wi-Fi network and enter invented password. Thus, we examined in detail how to set up a wireless network through the D-Link dir-300. The main thing is to first clarify your preferred connection addresses with your provider.
