Setting up a Rostelecom modem
The entire process of initial modem settings carried out by the installation technician. But if suddenly a failure occurs or you just need to reconfigure it, then this is very easy to do. By following the following tips, you can configure the necessary parameters completely free of charge, without calling a repair team. You can set the parameters of the modem from Rostelecom in two ways:
1. The simplest one. The router must come with an installation disk. It contains a file that automatically runs when the disc is loaded. By following the instructions, which are described there in great detail, setup is carried out quickly. The only negative is that along with the modem, other programs are installed on the computer, which simply clog up the space, and no one uses them.
2. The second method is independent manually, through any internet browser. Let's take a closer look.
In order to set up the router, you need to pick up the contract and clarify the information about the login and password. Next, go to the browser and open the page, which is located at 192.168.1.1. The password and login are the same – admin.
In the main menu router settings find Network - connection. The entire process will be carried out at this point. Click the add button.
A new page opens in the form of a questionnaire, which we fill out according to the sample. We take the login from the contract, and the password is also indicated there.
Click save and reboot the router. The setup is complete. These are the simplest ways to configure a modem from Rostelecom. As you can see from the instructions, there is nothing complicated about this and even a real “teapot” can do it.
