Connecting the ZyXEL Keenetic Lite III router
There are very popular models Wi-Fi routers, and there are practically unknown ones. But it doesn’t matter what router you have, since first of all you need to configure and connect it. Only after this will it start working and delight you with all the delights of wireless Internet. Today we will talk about the ZyXEL Keenetic Lite III router, namely how to connect it and its initial configuration. It’s worth noting right away that this model of router has an improved Wi-Fi antenna. They have increased the range of signal reception and transmission.
Let's start from the very beginning. In the picture below you will see the back panel of this router. If you look from left to right, the mode switch comes first. It needs to be left in main mode. You will need to insert a power supply into the connector labeled “power”.
Then you need to press the button next to the connector. After these steps, a power indicator should appear on the front of the router. In the connector"Internet"connect your Internet cable. Almost immediately, another icon will appear on the front panel of the router indicating that the Internet is connected. Well, in the connectors with the inscription "home network"(into any) we insert the cable that came with the router. We insert the other end into the connector of the computer’s network card.
After all these steps you need go to the router web interface. To do this, open any browser and enter the address 192.168.1.1 or in the case of our router, you can go to the address my.keenetic.net. Either way, the welcome page will open. And here you need to choose either quick setup or setup via the web configurator. It is easier to choose the quick setting, since in this case you only need to click on the “Next” button. And just enter your Internet data a couple of times.
