Setting up the ASUS RT G32 router

Настройка роутера ASUS RT G32

Setting up the asus RT G32 router is not much different from setting up other similar devices. Therefore, installing a router yourself is not difficult even for a simple user.

To do this, you need to make a few simple connections:
- An antenna and power supply are connected to the router.
- A network cable, which is always gray, is connected to the device through the WAN port. For recognition, the port is highlighted in a different color.
- The remaining four ports are needed to connect the PC to the router. Setting up the device itself does not require complicated steps and takes a little time.

To get started you will need go to the router settings. Opening any browser You must enter 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and go to the next window for authorization, in which you must enter your login in the top line and your password in the bottom line. The password is always “admin”. If you cannot log in, you need to clarify your login and password in the instructions for the device or on the router itself.

After authorization, the router settings window opens. On the left side of the window, go to the WAN menu, then fill in the form fields for connection. In the IP address field you must enter the data issued by the provider providing services for connection. Most often, this is automatic determination of the IP address, so just check the box next to Obtain an IP address automatically next to YES. The configured settings are confirmed with the Apply button.

The wireless network setup continues by clicking on the corresponding button. In the window that opens, Wi-Fi parameters are set. The window has many fields that require filling out.

- In the SSID line, indicate in Latin characters the name of the network, which will be displayed in the list of Wireless network connections.
- In the Channel line, set the number that corresponds to the number of connected computers. If you have two or more computer equipment at home, you can immediately connect all units via a wireless connection. This only applies to laptops.
- In the Authentication Method line, select WPA2-Personal from the list. Thus, the connection will only occur through the security code.
- In the WPA Pre-Shared Key line the password is indicated to access your wireless network connection.
- Having filled in all the necessary fields, we apply the settings for further work.
- We reboot the router.
- On the laptop, open the Internet Access icon and in the window that appears, select the name that you entered in the SSID line.
- A field will appear asking you to enter a password. Enter the password that was specified in the WPA Pre-shared key line.
- If you specified everything correctly, an Internet connection should appear.
- In case of failure, you need to check that the DNS and IP address settings are correct. As you can see, setting up the ASUS RT G32 router is quite primitive and very similar to setting up other routers.

Well, maybe for some the RT G32 router is no different from the others, but the article helped me a lot. Not everyone is so advanced and knows everything!
