How to connect a D-Link DIR 300 router

There are two types of provider addresses - dynamic and static, and, based on this, there are two types of router settings.

First view – this is setting up a router with a dynamic IP address. To begin, enter “PPTP Dual Access” in the “Internet Connection Type” field, and then do the following:
- select “Dynamic IP address”;
- enter the IP address, server name and provider server name;
- enter your account (required for authorization on the network);
- vvodim password and re-enter the password to confirm;
- select the mode for connection: “Always – on” - for a permanent Internet connection, “Connect – on – Demand” - for connecting if necessary, that is, when Internet traffic appears, a connection is established, and if there is no connection, it is disconnected, “Manual” - in in this case, the connection is established and terminated manually;
- save all settings by clicking the “Save” button.

The second view – setting up a router with a static IP address: select the value “Statistical IP address”, and then perform a series of steps to configure the router, as when setting up using a dynamic address.
This type of setup may be charged by the provider in accordance with its tariffs. So, your router is configured and ready to work, as indicated by the icon indicating an active Internet connection. Now you can start using the Internet on devices where the Internet connection is via a Wi-Fi connection. To do this, you need to find the router in the Wi-Fi settings and connect to it.
