Unidentified network without network access - what to do?
There may be several reasons for the error to appear. If you cannot figure out on your own why the Internet does not want to connect, then we suggest that you read this article. Reason 1. The provider's fault.
Most often, there is no need to worry, since the fault is not your computer or cable, but the provider. It probably has some technical problems, an emergency has occurred, or repair and restoration work is underway. That’s why, if you suddenly find that you don’t have Internet, don’t rush to panic. It may be worth waiting a little time and the connection will resume.
The easiest way to find out if this is the case is to call your provider. However, if you have two computers in your home, you can connect the Internet cable to the other PC to make sure that the problem is not with your computer. And only then call the provider. Well, or you can wait for it to turn on while doing other things.
Reason 2. Incorrect IPv4 configuration.
If you find that the Internet cable does not work on your computer, just reinstalled Windows and you can’t set up access to the network or you recently changed the network settings, after which the Internet stopped working (underline as appropriate), then you need to solve the problem in a different way.
In these cases, the reason lies in the fact that you either did not set the local network connection settings or did it incorrectly. In more understandable terms, you have configured the IPv4 protocol incorrectly or have not configured it.
Even if you haven’t entered this protocol at all and have no idea what this thing is, this does not mean that the settings there cannot change. It is possible that you have picked up a virus program that has changed your network settings without your knowledge. And before you fight the virus program, try to restore access to the network.
How to check network settings? We do the following:
1.in the tray, right-click on the Internet icon and select “Network and Sharing Center";
2.in the “View active networks” section, click on “Podklyuchenie po local set";
3.in the window that opens, click on “<font><font>Materials</font></font>";
4. Another window will appear in which you need to find “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)» and click on it twice with the left mouse button;
5.try setting automatic data reception: select the parameters "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Get the DNS server address automatically;
6.click "OK"and see if Internet access appears in a few seconds;
7.if it does not appear, then your provider cannot provide the data automatically, which means that all data will have to be entered manually.
As a rule, you can find them along with a package of documents that were given to you at the provider’s office upon connection. Usually this is an A4 sheet of paper, which contains information on setting up the Internet, including IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, DNS server. If you cannot find this data, contact your provider to resolve this problem.
Reason 3. Incorrect network protocols.
For those who are desperate, it is recommended to do one more thing. Namely, reset the TCP/IP protocol settings. Perhaps the reason why the Internet does not work lies in incorrect Internet protocol settings.
To perform a reset, do the following:
1.open command prompt("Start»—«Find programs and files»—register cmd, right-click on the result and select “Run as administrator");
2.write in it “netsh ip reset resetlog.txt" (without quotes), click Enter;
3.restart your PC.
By performing this procedure, you force your PC to rewrite the system registry keys, which may have caused the network problem.
Reason 4. Broken network driver.
Even if you have set all the network settings correctly, but the Internet stubbornly refuses to connect even after rebooting the PC and checking that the coveted numbers are entered correctly 100 times, then do not despair: reinstalling the driver can often help.
A computer is a technique, which means its actions are unpredictable. Ideally, of course, the equipment should work according to a clearly defined algorithm and without failures, but in practice these same failures cannot be avoided. Sometimes it happens that the driver may simply “fly off”. If this is a one-time problem, then there is no reason to worry. Simply reinstalling it is enough. So, make sure to keep all the important drivers on your PC, especially the network card driver. After all, if it crashes, you won’t be able to download it, since there will be no Internet.
So, you need to download and reinstall for your network card. To do this, from any device with Internet access, go to the official website of the manufacturer of your network card and download it from the Support section (Download, Drivers, etc.). We offer you links to the websites of the most popular network card manufacturers:
Marwell — http://www.marvell.com/support/downloads/search.do
Realtek — http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/
Intel — https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?lang=rus&DwnldID=18713
To find out the name of your network card, go to device Manager:
•click “Start" and in the field "Find programs and files» write «device Manager";
•find the section “Network adapters", expand it and read the name. So, the screenshot shows that the built-in network adapter is Realtek PCIe GBE Family Contoller.
Copy the downloaded file to your PC and install the driver. After this, restart your computer and check your network connection. We hope that in your case the provider was the cause of the Internet not working, and even if not, then thanks to these instructions you were able to get rid of such a problem as “Unidentified network without network access»!
